I offer a safe, accepting space for individuals to discuss challenges and life difficulties. Most of my work has been with young children with social-emotional and behavioral concerns and their families. As a therapist and a foster parent I understand the unique challenges that children in care face. I emphasize building a collaborative, genuine therapeutic relationship with children, adults and families with whom I work. I believe that it is through the therapeutic relationship that we can work together to develop new ways of thinking and acting.
My approach to therapy is existential, person-centered and cognitive-behavioral. I am rostered in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT) and have helped children to develop coping strategies and work through and overcome their trauma.
